PixelParty® is operated by PIXELPARTY GROUP LTD, company number SC854567, registered in Scotland ("PixelParty", "we", "our" or "us").
This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you use the PixelParty website, mobile app or event services (the "service"). By using PixelParty you agree to this policy.
Terms used here have the same meaning as in our terms of service unless stated otherwise.
What PixelParty does
PixelParty allows users to create digital event galleries and invite guests to upload photos, videos and messages using a QR code or event link.
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve the service. We will never sell your data, and we do not use your uploaded photos for marketing without your explicit permission.
Information we collect
To provide the service we may ask you for personally identifiable information including your name, email address, IP address and device identifiers. Information we collect is retained and used as described in this policy.
PixelParty may also be installed as a native or progressive web application. In that case we may require certain permissions from your device, such as access to the camera or to stored photos, in order for the upload and camera features to work at all.
Log data
When you use the service, in the case of an error we collect data and information through third-party products. This log data may include your device internet protocol address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when using our service, the time and date of your use of the service, and other statistics.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. They are sent to your browser from the websites you visit and stored on your device.
Our cookie policy explains which cookies we use and how to refuse them.
Service providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our service, to provide the service on our behalf, to perform service-related services, or to assist us in analysing how our service is used.
These third parties have access to your personal information in order to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. They are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your personal information and we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
The service may contain links to other sites. If you click a third-party link you will be directed to that site. Those sites are not operated by us, and we advise you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content or practices of any third-party site.
Children
The service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] so that we can act.
Who owns uploaded content
All content uploaded to PixelParty is your sole property. PixelParty has no rights to use it except as set out in our terms of service. We are a storage broker for the images.
Data retention and deletion
Your personal data is held for as long as necessary to provide the service, and for as long as you hold an account.
Photos, videos and other media uploaded to an event are retained for the access period of that event: on Classic, a year to upload and a further year to download, and on Plus, two years.
You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time. The data deletion page explains how.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy here.
